This product technology is applied to the HV PACK test product series and the modular HF isolated HVDC bus-bar system, which can effectively improve the energy utilization of lithium cell production and testing, and also significantly reduce the cost of input. 

Core technology and advantages

01  HF isolated two-way switch: Achieve the two-way flow of energy flow, support automatic switching of charge and discharge, further reduce energy consumption and achieve energy recovery. 

02  Modular parallel design: Megawatt-level power output is obtained through modular paralleling, with a high level of flexibility and scalability. 

03  HF isolation solution: Relying on the third-generation semiconductor switching device and HF power electronic transformer, a three-phase interleaving resonant soft switching circuit is constructed to ensure the safety isolation of the system. 

04  Seamless conversion modulation strategy: The resonant switching circuit works in the online two-way conversion mode to achieve the seamless conversion of AC and DC power, which can effectively improve system efficiency and reduce energy consumption of the battery production. 

Lithium Cell PACK Test Product

This product technology is applied to HV PACK test series products, which makes them significantly superior to traditional solutions. The traditional power frequency AFE solution for HV lithium cell PACK testing is subject to many problems, such as difficulty in model selection, slow development, large volume, installation and maintenance difficulties. 

The PACK testing series of Topology adopts an HF, modular and fully isolated design, which enables customers to develop its systems faster, configure its modules more flexibly, and install and maintain them more easily. The product replaces the traditional power frequency AFE, providing customers with a better solution, and promoting the lithium cell PACK testing to realize the leapfrog development of pre-isolation modularization for systems! 

I. Product advantages

· Voltage expansion - The module can be serialized or paralleled to promote the rapid development of test systems at different voltage levels 

Traditional AFE: In series at cabinet level, difficult to conduct the cascading, debugging and implementation. 

Topology Module: In series at module level, fast realization of high voltage system. For example, in the PACK testing scenario for 500-850V electric vehicles, the single module of TBM series 610V, 630V, 750V, 800V and 900V can meet the demand. As for 1,000-1,700V energy storage battery packs and other similar testing platforms, the cascading of 2 Topology TBM HV modules can meet the demand. 

· Power Expansion - Modular design, several configurations for flexible matching, on-demand configuration 

Traditional AFE: One power for one machine, a different power requires the development of different machine, with many categories, making the development difficult. 

Topology Module: HF modular, single module configuration, one machine covering all scenarios, free combination, flexible expansion, on-demand configuration. 

· SPOF, uninterrupted operation of the machine, easy & fast maintenance 

Traditional AFE: SPOF, the machine downtime; Professional maintenance, time more than 24 hours, affecting the test progress of customers. 

Topology Solution: SPOF to exit, the machine continues to run; The faulty module is quickly replaced within 10min, and the testing is smooth. 

· Higher accuracy, faster response and more accurate assurance testing 

Topology Module: Wide load range with high efficiency, fast dynamic response, low current harmonics, and high power factor, making the whole system more efficient, green and energy saving. 

II. The testing series includes

TBM610-53KTIT, TBM630-53KTIT, TBM750-53KTIT, TBM800-53KTIT, TBM900-53KTIT HV modular AC/DC two-way power supply. 

Modular HF isolated HVDC bus-bar system

This product technology is applied to the modular HF isolated HVDC bus-bar system, providing a better solution for the lithium battery production line. Match with the HVDC bus-bar centralized power supply scheme, and replace AC distributed power supply scheme, reducing the overall cost of the formation/grading system and improving the system efficiency. The modular HF isolated HVDC busbar system provides 380VAC and 480VAC input, and provides a solution for HVDC busbars in the North American 480VAC grid, which also matches with the 380VAC grid.

TBS series HF isolated power system cabinet solution: 1MW standard cabinet, 1-20 modules with flexible configuration, 2 module redundancy, single module 50kW and 53kW, multiple power options, 570VDC and 750VDC (adjustable voltage up to 700VDC) adjustable output voltage range, adapted to various specifications of HVDC busbars. The overall system has the advantages of HF isolation, stability and reliability, flexible configuration, redundancy, adjustable output voltage range, high maintainability, high efficiency and low cost, which can reduce the cost and increase the efficiency of the grading production line, so as to save the investment.

· Reliable redundancy for the system 

As for Topology TBS series solution, the system can be equipped with 1-2 redundant modules. In case of any failure, the faulty module exits the system, and the redundant module continue to work, ensuring that the overall business is not interrupted. A non-isolated system cannot achieve reliable redundancy, and any failures may cause business interruption.

· A single module failure to exit 

The HF isolation and modular operation & maintenance technology of Topology AC/DC two-way power supply system cabinet can ensure high stability, with the function of single failure exit to contain the failure. This can enable the system to continue to run and ensure the continuous operation of the production line. Compared with the traditional power frequency non-isolated AFE system, it has a great advantage in respect of stability and operation & maintenance. 

Topology’s product adopts the modular parallel technology and redundant design, which can easily achieve megawatt-level power and solve the difficulty of high-power development. This solution not only has been applied widely in China, but also has been used successfully in some projects overseas. With 20 modules in parallel, combined with the TBS-1MW system cabinet, the production line series has been successfully adopted by LG in South Korea and recognized by overseas markets.
